Online: Interpersonal Challenges in a Time of Tumult – A Buddhist & Psychotherapeutic Perspective
with Pilar Jennings
Saturday, October 17th, 2020 | 2:00pm – 5:00pm ET

As we continue to grapple with this time of enormous upheaval, many people are experiencing increased stress in their relationships. Whether helping children cope with sudden change, giving care to elderly parents, or managing conflicting expectations with colleagues and supervisors, this time of crisis has underscored our need for reliable roadmaps as we work through conflicts and attempt to build mutually supportive relationships.

In this workshop, psychoanalyst and Dharma teacher Pilar Jennings will explore the early developmental roots of interpersonal challenges, and bring these insights into conversation with Buddhist wisdom teachings. Together we will explore the key dynamics in our wish to nurture and sustain interpersonal relationships that can withstand the difficulties posed during this unique moment in time.

Themes will include cultivating increased compassion for self and other; developing needed tools for conflict resolution; and finding ways to enjoy connection even in the midst of unforeseen change.
