Biana Kovic comes to New York Insight Meditation Center with a wealth of experience in managing and leading nonprofit organizations focusing on education, the arts, international relations, and youth services. Before joining NYIMC, she served as Executive Director of the National Association of Women Artists, a membership organization for female artists, patrons, and gallery owners throughout the United States and Canada. She has also served as Executive Director of Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, a UN affiliated cultural exchange program; Assistant Director of Educational Programs at Sheltering Arms Children and Family Services in NYC, a community-based organization; and President and Founder of It’s Never 2 Late Inc, an organization dedicated to providing musical education to adults.

Biana is a professional cellist and has performed in concerts at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and in other venues throughout the United States. She holds an MS in Educational Psychology and Methodology from SUNY Albany, a BA in Music from the University of Musical Arts in Belgrade, Serbia, and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard University.
